NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS

Now that one year is over and a new one begins, I have decided to make some new years resolutions. I am not a big "New Years resolution" activist, but I like the idea of trying to change for the better. For me and for many people, a new year represents a new beginning; a time to start over again.

Gone is 2009 and my stressed-out, over-analyzing, sleep-deprived, unhealthy-eating, exercise-constricted self! In 2010, I want to be a better me.

My list of goals for this year include the following:

  • sleep more when possible

  • meditate

  • go with the flow (as much as possible)
  • eat more fruits and vegetables

  • lay off the coffee
  • take more vitamins

  • exercise (at least stretch in the morning to begin...but eventually I'd like to reach a 5-day-a-week exercise routine)

One of the reasons I believe people ultimately fail at their New Years resolutions is because they take on too much. I think the best thing to do (and the only way in truly achieving your goal) is to integrate your list into your life as smoothly as possible. For me, I plan on tackling one goal at a time. I don't prefer one goal over the other, but I do believe in starting easy.

I will most likely begin with eating more fruits and vegetables and then start taking vitamins. At the end of the day, as long as I attempt to begin each goal I think I'm a winner.

What is on your resolution list?

Speaking of which, I realize it's been a while since I've updated my blog. Maybe I should have added it to the list!!!
